Who's Minxa?

What you see is the final layer. What you don’t see is everything it took to get there: the frustration, the doubt, the impulse to destroy, and the countless moments of returning to the canvas with renewed energy. Each gesture, each layer, each texture traces the negotiation between fragility and resilience, chaos and structure, silence and eruption.

My practice began not from ambition, but from necessity, a private, therapeutic process that gradually evolved into a sustained inquiry into emotion, vulnerability, and the tension between control and surrender. Painting became a method of understanding, a disciplined excavation of what trembles beneath composure.

My work exists in the liminal space between abstraction and emotional cartography. It resists literal narrative but invites reflection, presence, and quiet confrontation.

Hi, I’m Minxa, an introverted artist from Bucharest, Romania. I didn’t begin painting with the intention of becoming an artist, it started as part of a healing process in therapy. What began as an exercise slowly became a necessity. If my work brings even a moment of recognition, comfort, or quiet connection to someone, then it has fulfilled its purpose.
